Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues its historic box office run as the Ranveer Singh starrer has crossed a massive Rs 920 crore worldwide in just six days. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the high-octane spy thriller has not only dominated the domestic market but also surpassed the lifetime global earnings of Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, emerging as one of the fastest Indian blockbusters in recent times.
Dhurandhar 2 Box Office Collection Day 6
Dhurandhar: The Revenge, released on March 19 with paid previews on March 18, has maintained a phenomenal pace at the box office. After earning Rs 530 crore net in India and Rs 850 crore worldwide in its first five days, the film added another Rs 56.55 crore on Day 6.
With this, the film’s total domestic collection stands at approximately Rs 587 crore net, while its worldwide gross has crossed Rs 920 crore. The numbers clearly indicate its unstoppable momentum across global markets.
Beats Animal’s Lifetime Collection
In a major milestone, Dhurandhar 2 has surpassed the global lifetime earnings of Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and starring Ranbir Kapoor, which had collected around Rs 915 crore worldwide in 2023.
This achievement places Dhurandhar: The Revenge among the top-grossing Indian films, with trade analysts expecting it to climb even higher in the coming days.
Strong Cast and Massive Appeal
Apart from Ranveer Singh, the film features a powerful ensemble cast including Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.
Their performances, combined with adrenaline-pumping action and a gripping narrative, have contributed significantly to the film’s massive box office success.
Storyline Rooted in Geopolitical Drama
Set against the volatile backdrop of Lyari in Karachi, the sequel dives deep into a world of covert intelligence operations. It connects fictional storytelling with real-life inspired events like the Kandahar hijack, the 2001 Indian Parliament attack, and the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
The narrative follows the rise of Hamza Ali Mazari while uncovering his past as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, showcasing his transformation into a lethal force.
Can It Beat the First Part?
The first installment of the franchise was a massive success, collecting Rs 1300 crore worldwide. With the current pace, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is expected to challenge and possibly surpass that figure during its second weekend.
Backed by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, and featuring music by Shashwat Sachdev, the film is well on track to become one of the biggest Indian blockbusters ever.
