After a lukewarm start, Dacoit managed to rake in Rs 8.50 crore on Day 2. While this represents a slight uptick from its opening day figures, the growth is being described as “muted” by trade analysts. The two-day domestic cumulative total now stands at Rs 16.75 crore, a figure that falls short of the expectations pinned on a project of this scale.
The film’s performance has been hampered by a combination of low pre-release anticipation and mixed word-of-mouth. Estimates suggest that Day 3 will likely remain flat, potentially closing the opening weekend at approximately Rs 24 crore gross in India.
