Even before its release, Dhurandhar 2 set the tone by collecting over ₹50 crore in advance bookings (excluding paid previews) at the Indian box office. This massive pre-sales figure indicated a blockbuster opening right from the start.
Apart from advance bookings, spot bookings at ticket counters have also remained strong throughout the day. The film’s buzz, combined with positive word of mouth and festive advantage, has helped it maintain a steady flow of audiences in theatres.
Dhurandhar 2 has now achieved a major milestone on the ticketing platform BookMyShow. According to official data, the film sold an astonishing 109K tickets in just one hour, setting a new all-time record.
This achievement makes it the highest number of tickets sold in a single hour on the platform, surpassing the previous record held by Pushpa 2, which sold 107.6K tickets in an hour. The record-breaking number highlights the extraordinary craze surrounding the film among moviegoers.
The film’s performance is expected to witness further growth over the coming days. With the Eid holiday on March 21 and the weekend following it, Dhurandhar 2 is likely to see even higher hourly ticket sales and box office collections.
Given the current momentum, the film is well on track to register one of the biggest opening weekends in Bollywood history.
