Ranveer Singh - Dhurandhar 2
Dhurandhar 2 has taken a thunderous start at the Indian box office even before its official release. The much-awaited sequel, starring Ranveer Singh along with Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R. Madhavan, has registered an extraordinary response in day 1 advance booking. Riding on massive hype after the success of its first installment, the film has managed to cross the ₹50 crore milestone in pre-sales, creating a historic record for Bollywood.
The film has achieved a major milestone by becoming the first Bollywood movie to cross ₹50 crore gross in opening-day advance booking. Dhurandhar 2 has reportedly collected around ₹53 crore gross (excluding blocked seats), showcasing its massive demand among audiences across the country.
With this, the film has set a new benchmark for Hindi cinema and strengthened its position as one of the biggest releases of the year.
Dhurandhar 2 has sold more than 14.09 lakh tickets for its opening day, indicating a phenomenal turnout in advance booking itself. Despite having a lengthy runtime of nearly 4 hours, the film has secured an impressive show count of around 23,400 across India.
The high number of shows, combined with premium ticket pricing, has played a crucial role in boosting its overall advance booking collection. Exhibitors have shown strong confidence in the film by allocating a massive number of screens nationwide.
The film has witnessed strong traction across major regions, with Maharashtra leading the charge.
Maharashtra has contributed the highest with approximately ₹13.25 crore gross in advance booking. Karnataka follows in second place with around ₹8.05 crore, while Delhi stands third with ₹7.61 crore gross collections.
This widespread response highlights the film’s pan-India appeal and strong buzz among audiences.
With ₹53 crore gross in day 1 pre-sales, Dhurandhar 2 has secured the 7th position among the highest opening-day advance bookings in Indian cinema history. It has surpassed Devara, which had recorded ₹49.9 crore gross, to claim its spot.
However, it still remains behind Kalki 2898 AD, which stands at ₹55.11 crore. The all-time list is currently dominated by Pushpa 2 with a massive ₹91.24 crore gross in advance booking.
Pushpa 2 leads the chart with ₹91.24 crore, followed by KGF Chapter 2 at ₹80.5 crore and Baahubali 2 at ₹80 crore. OG holds ₹65 crore, while RRR stands at ₹59 crore. Kalki 2898 AD has ₹55.11 crore, followed by Dhurandhar 2 with ₹53 crore. Devara, Salaar, and Leo complete the list with ₹49.9 crore, ₹48.94 crore, and ₹46.1 crore respectively.
Given the historic advance booking numbers, Dhurandhar 2 is expected to open with a massive day 1 collection at the Indian box office. The strong pre-release buzz, combined with high occupancy and premium pricing, indicates that the film could register one of the biggest openings in Bollywood history.
