Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar: The Revenge, directed by Aditya Dhar, continues its historic run at the box office. After completing two weeks in theatres, the film has crossed the massive ₹900 crore mark in India, solidifying its position as one of the biggest blockbusters in Indian cinema history.
The film delivered an extraordinary performance in its opening week, collecting ₹674.17 crore, which includes ₹43 crore from paid previews. While the second week saw an expected drop of around 63.64%, the film still managed to bring in a strong ₹245.85 crore.
On Day 14 (April 1), Dhurandhar: The Revenge added over ₹20 crore, pushing its total India net collection to ₹920.02 crore. Despite the decline from its record-breaking first week, the film continues to dominate the box office with consistent numbers.
With its current total, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has surpassed the lifetime collections of several blockbuster films. It has gone past KGF: Chapter 2 (₹859.70 crore), RRR (₹782.20 crore), and Kalki 2898 AD (₹646 crore) in India.
The film is now eyeing bigger milestones and is set to challenge the records of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (₹1,030.42 crore) and Pushpa 2: The Rise (₹1,234.10 crore).
Not just in India, the film is also performing exceptionally well overseas. The global box office collection is now approaching the ₹1500 crore mark, with the film emerging as the highest-grossing Indian movie in several international territories, including North America and the UK.
This remarkable worldwide performance highlights the film’s massive appeal across audiences globally.
In an interesting move, special marathon screenings of Dhurandhar and its sequel Dhurandhar: The Revenge are being held in Hong Kong. These screenings feature both films back-to-back as a single extended cut with a combined runtime of approximately 7.5 hours.
The screenings are currently taking place in Broadway Circuit theatres, generating buzz among fans. Reports suggest that similar marathon screenings could also be introduced in India in the near future.
With strong momentum still intact, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is expected to continue its record-breaking run in the coming days. If the trend holds, the film could soon cross the ₹1000 crore milestone in India and further cement its legacy as one of the highest-grossing Indian films ever.
