The makers have officially announced that Landlord will premiere on ZEE5 on March 19. The digital release is timed with the festive occasion of Ugadi, a period when many regional films aim to attract family audiences.

Directed by Jadesh K. Hampi and produced by Sarathi Films, the film explores life in the rural heartland of Karnataka during the 1980s.
The story focuses on a village environment shaped by authority, social tensions and evolving relationships. Through a character-driven narrative, the film gradually reveals the hidden conflicts and emotional struggles that lie beneath the seemingly calm surface of village life.
Vijaya Kumar and Rachita Ram on Their Characters
Lead actor Vijaya Kumar, who plays the character Rachayya, described his role as emotionally layered. According to him, the character is someone who expresses very little outwardly but carries deep internal emotions, making the performance both subtle and impactful.
