Mardaani 3 has officially completed its theatrical run after nearly 50 days in cinemas, closing its box office journey on a mixed note. While the film managed to become the highest-grossing installment in the Mardaani franchise, it ultimately failed to meet expectations at the ticket window. Starring Rani Mukerji and directed by Abhiraj Minawala, the action thriller ended up as a losing affair despite a decent overall performance.
Mardaani 3 recorded an estimated lifetime net collection of ₹52.99 crore in India. The film maintained a steady run for almost 50 days, even while facing competition from major releases like Border 2 and O’Romeo.
Including taxes, the India gross collection stood at ₹62.52 crore. Despite its long theatrical presence, the film could not reach the expected benchmarks at the domestic box office.
Backed by Yash Raj Films, Mardaani 3 was made on a budget of ₹60 crore. In its full run, the film managed to recover only 88% of its total cost.
With an estimated shortfall of around ₹7 crore, the film concluded its domestic run with a “losing” verdict, falling short of profitability.
At the overseas box office, the film collected ₹14.60 crore gross. When combined with the domestic gross, the worldwide total reached ₹77.12 crore.
Although the film performed decently internationally, it failed to enter the ₹100 crore club, which was widely expected prior to release.
Despite underperforming expectations, Mardaani 3 emerged as the highest-grossing film in the franchise.
Mardaani 3 also secured a spot among Rani Mukerji’s highest-grossing films but couldn’t break into the top tier. It stands as her 5th highest-grosser globally, remaining behind Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
