The much-anticipated mythological epic Ramayana has received a major update, as producer Namit Malhotra confirmed that the first glimpse titled ‘Rama’ will be unveiled on April 2, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.
The announcement was made on the occasion of Ram Navami, adding to the spiritual significance surrounding the film’s promotional journey. The makers are preparing for a grand global reveal, aiming to connect with audiences across the world.
Taking to social media, Namit Malhotra shared a heartfelt message, highlighting the responsibility and devotion involved in bringing the timeless story to life. He emphasized that Ramayana belongs to everyone and assured fans that the film is being crafted with sincerity, care, and authenticity.
He also confirmed that the upcoming ‘Rama’ glimpse will mark the beginning of showcasing years of effort, promising a large-scale global celebration for fans.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film is envisioned as a two-part cinematic event that blends cutting-edge technology with immersive storytelling. The project is backed by Prime Focus Studios in association with DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations.
The film has already generated massive buzz globally, with its first look creating excitement through multi-city launches and even a showcase at Times Square. The upcoming reveal is expected to elevate anticipation further.
The film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita, alongside Yash portraying Ravana. The ensemble cast also includes Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, with key roles played by Kajal Aggarwal, Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, and Rakul Preet Singh.

The two-part epic Ramayana is scheduled for a worldwide IMAX release, with Part 1 set to arrive during Diwali 2026, followed by Part 2 in Diwali 2027.
