The Kerala Story 2 Box Office Collection Day 23: 100% Jump But Still Behind Mardaani 3

The Kerala Story 2 continues its theatrical run with a noticeable jump on Day 23, benefiting from the Eid holiday boost. Despite witnessing 100% growth in the last 24 hours, the film still struggles to surpass the lifetime collection of Mardaani 3. While the sequel has performed decently, it remains far behind the blockbuster success of its predecessor.

The Kerala Story 2 Box Office Collection Day 23

Directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, The Kerala Story 2 earned approximately 22 lakh on its 23rd day at the Indian box office. This marks a solid 100% jump compared to the 11 lakh collected on the previous day.

The Eid holiday played a key role in boosting footfall; however, the growth remained restricted due to the overwhelming dominance of Dhurandhar 2 in theatres.

The film’s total India net collection now stands at 51.12 crore, while the gross collection is estimated at around 60.32 crore. Although the film is a success, it has not been able to replicate the massive impact of its predecessor, The Kerala Story, which had collected 238.27 crore during its lifetime run.

Day-Wise Box Office Breakdown

Week 1 collection stands at 22.9 crore, followed by 16.97 crore in Week 2 and 10.92 crore in Week 3. On Day 22, the film earned 11 lakh, while Day 23 brought in 22 lakh. The total collection now reaches 51.12 crore.

The Kerala Story 2 vs Mardaani 3

Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani 3 currently holds the position of the fourth highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2026 with a domestic total of 52.99 crore.

The Kerala Story 2 now needs approximately 1.87 crore more to surpass this mark. However, with collections expected to drop below 10 lakh from Monday due to strong competition from Dhurandhar 2, the chances of overtaking Mardaani 3 appear slim. Today is likely the final opportunity for the film to add significant numbers to its total.

Budget, Profit And Verdict

Made on a budget of 28 crore, The Kerala Story 2 has managed to earn 51.12 crore net in India. This results in a return on investment of 82.57%, placing the film in the profitable zone.

Despite falling short of expectations set by its predecessor, the film has secured a “Plus” verdict at the box office, making it a moderate success in 2026.
