Ken Karunaas led comedy drama Youth has officially wrapped up its theatrical journey, and the final numbers are in. The Tamil film has finished its run with a total collection of Rs. 54.50 crore gross in India, falling just shy of the Rs 55 crore mark.

The film started its box office journey on a strong note, collecting Rs. 28.75 crore in week one. It maintained a decent hold in the second week with Rs. 11 crore, and later added around Rs. 9-10 crore before closing its run.

With its OTT release scheduled for this weekend, the film is now making its exit from cinemas after a successful run. Backed by solid content, Youth has secured the Clean Hit tag.

The major chunk of the film’s earnings came from Tamil Nadu, which alone contributed a massive Rs. 46 crore. Outside its home turf, the film posted decent numbers as well — Rs. 4 crore from Karnataka, Rs. 3.25 crore from Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, and nearly Rs. 1.25 crore from other regions.

Interestingly, Youth continues the trend of content-driven Tamil films working at the box office, following the success of With Love and Thaai Kizhavi. None of these films relied on big star power, yet managed to pull audiences to theatres.

Here’s the territory-wise breakdown:

  • Tamil Nadu – Rs. 46.00 crore
  • Karnataka – Rs. 4.00 crore
  • AP/TS – Rs. 3.25 crore
  • Rest of India – Rs. 1.25 crore
  • Total – Rs. 54.50 crore

Apart from Ken Karunaas, the film features Suraj Venjaramoodu, Devadarshini, Anishma Anilkumar, Priyanshi Yadav, and Meenakshi Dinesh in key roles.
