Bhoot Bangla
Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla is showing a solid upward trend at the box office, and the first Sunday numbers have added serious muscle to its opening weekend total. After a decent start and good Saturday growth, the film has delivered its best day so far, indicating that the audience response is getting stronger with each passing show.
As per the latest estimates, Bhooth Bangla has minted around ₹23 crore on Day 3, marking a clear jump from Saturday’s ₹19 crore. This strong Sunday growth reflects improving word of mouth and increasing footfall across the country.
The film was screened across a massive 11,682 shows nationwide on its first Sunday, which further supported the surge in collections and helped it clock its highest single-day total so far.
With Day 3 numbers in place, the film’s total India net collection has reached ₹58 crore. Including gross figures, the India total stands at ₹69.37 crore.
The film had opened with ₹12.25 crore on Day 1 and also added ₹3.75 crore through paid previews, building a solid base that has now translated into a strong weekend total.
The film is also performing steadily in international markets. On Day 3, it earned ₹7 crore overseas, pushing the international total to ₹26.50 crore.
With this, the worldwide gross collection has reached ₹95.87 crore, putting the film just a step away from entering the ₹100 crore club globally.
One of the biggest highlights of Bhooth Bangla is the reunion of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan after 14 years. The collaboration, known for delivering iconic comedy entertainers in the past, seems to be working in the film’s favor once again.
Akshay Kumar himself expressed his excitement about reuniting with the director, calling it a “homecoming” and praising Priyadarshan’s clean, family-oriented storytelling style.
Directed by Priyadarshan, Bhooth Bangla also stars Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, and Jisshu Sengupta in key roles. The story follows a London-based man who travels to a village in India after his sister inherits a palace, only to face a mysterious legend that prevents marriages from taking place.
