After opening on a promising note on Friday, the film has registered a solid jump on its second day. Through the matinee shows itself, Bhooth Bangla is already running around 40 percent ahead of its Day 1, and the growth is expected to stretch further as the day progresses. By the end of Saturday, the jump could land in the 50 percent range, which indicates a Day 2 collection in the vicinity of ₹17 to ₹17.50 crore nett. If the evening and night shows overperform, there is even a chance of the film touching or slightly crossing the ₹18 crore mark.
What’s working strongly in the film’s favour is the circuit-wise trend. The Northern belts are leading the charge, especially Delhi-NCR, which is known for its big Saturday jumps and is living up to that pattern after a relatively muted Friday. At the same time, the Mumbai-Pune belt and Karnataka are also contributing to the upward momentum with noticeable growth. Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh are seeing gains as well, although the expectation is that these circuits will show an even bigger spike on Sunday.
With this kind of Saturday trajectory, the two-day total of Bhooth Bangla is heading towards the ₹32 to ₹33 crore nett range, comfortably setting the stage for a ₹50 crore plus opening weekend. The real push, however, will come on Sunday, where the film has the potential to aim for the ₹20 crore nett mark if the trend continues to build.
That said, while the weekend looks sorted, the crucial phase begins post that. Films like Jolly LLB 3 had showcased a similar pattern in their opening weekend but failed to maintain the pace during weekdays, which impacted their overall verdict. Bhooth Bangla will need to avoid that dip and hold steady from Monday onwards to emerge as a successful venture.
On the brighter side, the film is mounted on controlled costs and has already secured a good chunk of recovery through non-theatrical avenues. The overseas response has also started on a positive note, adding further weight to its box office prospects. With the industry currently riding high on the historic success of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, Bhooth Bangla arriving with such trends only strengthens the ongoing momentum.
As things stand, the film is firmly on track for a strong weekend, but like always, the real story will be written once the weekday hold comes into play.
