Dacoit Box Office Collection Day 12: Adivi Sesh & Mrunal Thakur’s Film Inches Towards 40 Crore But Struggles To Roar, Heads For A Flop Verdict Around 45 Crore?

After a promising start at the ticket windows, Dacoit: A Love Story seems to have lost its grip as it moves deeper into its theatrical run. Despite having a solid opening weekend, the film is now showing signs of fatigue with collections slowing down significantly.

Starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, the romantic action drama is trying hard to maintain momentum but the trends suggest otherwise. With the second week nearing its end, all eyes are now on whether it can at least cross a respectable milestone.

Dacoit Box Office Day 12: Adds Just 50 Lakhs, Nears 40 Crore

Directed by Shaneil Deo, Dacoit: A Love Story added a modest Rs. 50 lakh on its second Tuesday. This takes the film’s total India gross to Rs. 39 crore, inching closer to the Rs. 40 crore mark, which it is expected to cross by the end of this week.

However, the pace has clearly slowed down. From roaring numbers in the opening weekend to barely holding ground in the second week, the drop indicates a lack of sustained audience pull.

Poor Trends Seal The Fate? Flop Verdict Loading

Despite its genre appeal and ensemble cast featuring Anurag Kashyap, Prakash Raj, Sunil, and Atul Kulkarni, the film hasn’t managed to hold strong at the box office.

The trend so far has been underwhelming, and unless there is a surprising jump over the third weekend, the film is heading towards a flop verdict, with a projected lifetime closing around Rs. 45 crore.

Had the word-of-mouth been more positive, the story could have been very different, especially after such a promising start. But right now, the film is struggling to convert its early momentum into long-term success.

Day-Wise Box Office Breakdown

Day 1: Rs. 8.00 crore
Day 2: Rs. 8.50 crore
Day 3: Rs. 7.75 crore
Day 4: Rs. 3.00 crore
Day 5: Rs. 3.25 crore
Day 6: Rs. 2.00 crore
Day 7: Rs. 1.50 crore
Day 8: Rs. 0.90 crore
Day 9: Rs. 1.50 crore
Day 10: Rs. 1.60 crore
Day 11: Rs. 0.50 crore
Day 12: Rs. 0.50 crore (est.)

Total: Rs. 39.00 crore

Dacoit: A Love Story had all the ingredients of a strong box office performer but failed to sustain the initial buzz. With collections now flattening out, the film’s journey towards the 40 crore mark feels more like a formality than a milestone.

The real test now lies in the third weekend—because without a surge, this box office ride might end sooner than expected.
